Youth entrepreneurship is something that every country needs to pay attention to. Age is no limit if you have got the brain capacity equivalenttoEinstein’s. Youngsters are mostly ignored based on a single dilemma that they don’t have the experience or the skills.

This perception needs to be changed. We have to let those come forward who can do it. Unemployment is because the society doesn’t experiment. We can easily prove to Gen-X that they can count on GEN-Y. We, being Millennials, think out of the box. We don’t give up. But above all, we love to experiment. We try, try and try until we succeed. It’s like the brain can’t rest until done. We can’t restrict the brain to take small steps, when it can climb mountains.

Spencer Porter is a new name to the entrepreneur world, but his actions at just 16 defy all. He is a school going boy at Melbourne, Australia. He is an entrepreneur, developer, and speaker. While he was 12, he started developing websites and then App Development caught his attention. He wanted to develop something different yet simple. Classy but easy to access. Only last year he started testing with developing apps for iPhone.

Entrepreneurial

Start-up To Success:

AMulti-dimensional brain starts to show-up from the start. Spencer says that he has been geared that way, from a young age. He too has the standard entrepreneurial story of selling lemonade for 5c at the front of his aunt’s house.

Then progressing to doing a paper round and leaving the hard work of collating the papers to his parents, then started working at a fast food chain. What did he achievewith all this effort? Guess what, he learnt about people and skills. He found the art of being responsible and timely.

Discover YOURSELF:

Every moment in your life comes with a choice. A choice of INNOVATION. You have got to find yourself. No one can do this for you. People will mock or judge at the start. Don’t let this put you down. Get yourself up. Spencer admitted that he too was bullied and made fun of at primary school. He also lost his confidence, MANY times. But, did he give up? Doesn’t look like it.

The catch is, that he kept his head down and mind focused. He is on the road todiscover himself. He too has no idea about his potential. But, we all can see its going to be super shiny. Currently, Porter is working with three international entrepreneurs on a new startup, which has got the air buzzing.

Entrepreneurial

The Wall and The Inspiration:

In late 2014 and early 2015 he started getting into app development and self-taught web coding to himself. Then he started making LOWK8. Now, this is an app to help save those locations which are easily lost. For example, when you park your car in a multi-level car park,it comes in very handy.

It was also a very humble beginning for Porter. This not only gave him more confidence but also a success story. When they say, age is not a limit, take them serious, LOL!

Isn’t it awesome that this young guy has opened ways and means for others? After launching his first startup, he had the privilege of meeting and connecting with people similar to him. This was amazing for him. He says, “finally being able to be “myself” was the most amazing experience”. He was able to share his knowledge in something he was so passionate about. Having the privilege of meeting some very influential entrepreneurs and learning from them was a big stepping stone in his journey.

The Face Forward Legacy:

I liked it when Spencer said,“it’s not about the money, it’s how the product helps others”. Technology has already taken up the planet. So why limit yourself? Your brain, your ideas, why not do something great? The ideas in him have a shape and now he has to give them a picture. When you are running a marathon, you are asked to run face forward, right? What does this do? This makes you stay focused towards the next milestone.

Each step that you take is a step close to your goal. Your goal is to run face forward. You can’t let your failures cause you to sit back. Your failures don’t define you. If you can dream about your goals, you can surelyACHIEVE them. You are not overly ambitious. You are born with the talent. Your vision in yourself needs to be clear, the rest can wait. If, Spencer can make LOWK8 and get his app registered in the Apple app store, so can YOU.

Age, country, gender- let none of these stop you. There are examples all around you. You lose only when you quit. Create opportunities for others, if you are able to. Your life is not only to be born and to live, but to create a legacy. Set examples to be followed. With this Spencer says that his biggest tip is just to try it out and see where you can go with it and “Yeah! Don’t watch – DO”.
